We know that Alex Rodriguez has a zillion homers this season. Well, actually, he has 35 - but, at this stage of the season, that seems like a zillion-something. However, do you know that A-Rod has hit homers off 34 different pitchers this season, to-date? Curt Schilling is the only pitcher to allow more than one homerun to A-Rod this season - again, so far. It will be interesting to see if Rodriguez continues this trend of hitting homers off different pitchers - just one per customer outside of ol' Red Light - for the remainder of the season.

I don't think that's a very good stat. I don't know why you chose to only care about runs, rbis, and hits, plenty of other stats matter. And percentage of a total team's stats isn't a very good thing to keep track of. Some runs affect the outcome of a game and some are just to blowout a team, so obviously hitting is more important in some cases than others. Percentage of team's stats simply values hitting well when the rest of your team isn't hitting well, which very often could mean you carried your team when they struggled, but it could also mean you you did well when your team got blown out. If a was losing 20-0 and had no hits and a player hit a solo homerun, he would have all hits, rbis, and runs, giving the highest score humanly possible of three when the other team's players got average scores despite the fact that they probably had better games and their performances resulted in a win.
