Berkman actually had another one yesterday, but the most surprising entry here is Danny Valencia, who has just an 81 OPS+ and 11 homers through Thursday but still makes the leader board. (Valencia hit his 12th homer yesterday, too.)

Lance Berkman's having an unbelievable year -- he's leading the NL now with a 182 OPS+. He should definitely get some MVP consideration, though whether or not he should win I'm not sure. To me, it's right now between Berkman, Reyes, Kemp, and Braun, though if the Pirates end up (miraculously) making the playoffs, McCutchen would have to be in there too.

Oddly, Valencia has zero 4-RBI games. And only 12 multi-RBI games. Check out the RBI/game distribution:
0: 64 games
1: 22
2: 5
3: 7
4+: 0

Valencia has had a pretty good July, finally hitting like his rookie season. In July he's put up .298/.333/.500 slash line with 4 homers and 17 RBIs...he's a good hitter that was scuffling Apr-Jun.

Odd to see Fielder and Howard omitted here. Guess they have been consistent with their distribution.

maybe Valencia finally moved on, from running his mouth on Twitter, about how great he was........what a wake-up call, this season must have been (hopefully).
Too bad, for MN fans, that this season, was probably the one, where he could have made an actual difference.
