Bloops: Hotel Commonwealth’s $755/night Red Sox Suite

Posted by Neil Paine on April 30, 2010

From Luxist, here's a pricey Boston hotel suite that caters specifically to members of Red Sox Nation:

"For $755 overnight you can lock yourself in a suite well stocked with Red Sox relics: Ruth, Agganis and Conigliaro baseball cards, photos of Jackie Robinson and Ted Williams, and balls autographed by Johnny Pesky, Carlton Fisk and Jim Rice."

Not sure why Jackie Robinson's photo would be included, since it seems more like a shameful reminder of Boston's squandered opportunity to sign the future Hall of FamerĀ  -- and many other African-American superstars -- during the Yawkey era... But I digress. The bottom line is, if you're a Red Sox fan with 800 bucks handy and you want a tastefully baseball-themed hotel stay, this is the place for you.

I've been in that hotel, although not in that particular room. It's a nice place.

Anyone else find it amusing that the price is the "real" home run record?

Maybe a lesser place would charge $406.
