Play Index Bug Fixing and Errata

Posted by Sean Forman on July 2, 2010

I've made a number of bug fixes and small feature additions to the Play Index today.

*Fixed a rounding error in the season finders that was causing it to round rate stats to too few digits of precision. Should handle most reasonable decimal values you throw at it now.
*Add BA, OBP, SLG, OPS+ and ISO to the matching criteria for the pitching season finder.
*When doing row summing (clicking the rows to sum) on the batting and pitching gamelogs, I've cleaned up the number of digits in the per 162 avg and also added BAbip for both the pitchers and batters, so you can see how the BAbip changed for stretches of games.
*Corrected an error that was keeping new debuts like the second Guillermo Pimentel from showing up in our minor league pages.
*For game and streak searches using innings pitched, we always switch from innings to outs, so 4.1 IP is used in the query as 13 outs. This is necessary to have queries make sense on a consistent basis.
*Searching for "2010 rays" now sends you to the correct page.
*For batting and pitching game finder searches looking for searches like teams with most quality starts this year or most multi-homer games, we fixed a bug that prevented you from seeing the individual games that make up the team total.

IF I do multi HR games by a team for batting, it gives the list but still gives the entire list of games rather than the team lists if I click the "ind. games" link. (for instance, it gives all 559 instead of just the Brewers 31 if I click the Brewers "ind. games" link)
